dBm – Conversion Table dBm Watts x x Volts

The dBm sometimes called dBmW or Decibel-miliwatts is an abbreviation for the power ratio in decibels (dB) the measured power referenced to one milliwatt (mW) ( see Conversion Table below ). What is dB

A convenient form, no dimension is to measure the power:

The exact formula : P (dBm) = 10 log10 · (P (In) / 1 mW)

where
P (dBm) = Power expressed in dBm
P (In) = Absolute power measured in Watts
mW = miliWatts
log10 = log base 10

From this formula, power in dBm 1 Watt é de 30 dBm. As the calculation is logarithmic, each increase of 3dBm is roughly equivalent to twice the actual power of a signal.
